Engineering and TechnicalUpstream Oil and Gas Production Operations
A three day course covering the production process from wellhead through separation, treating, storage and export. Delegates work through wellhead equipment and the artificial lift methods used to sustain well productivity as reservoir pressure declines, then through the operation and monitoring of separators, treaters and storage systems. Produced water handling and the environmental controls around it are covered in their own right, given the regulatory attention they now attract. The course spends substantial time on process upsets, shutdown sequences and emergency response, since recognising an upset early is what separates a controlled shutdown from an incident, and closes on production optimisation and well testing. Field examples are drawn from onshore and offshore West African production environments.
