SAP SystemsSAP PS: Project Systems for Capital Projects
Organisations running capital projects, infrastructure builds or plant shutdowns need disciplined cost and schedule control, and a project structure designed badly at the start cannot be reported on properly for the rest of its life. This course covers getting the structure right. Delegates work through work breakdown structures and networks and what each is for, planning cost and dates against that structure, and budgeting with availability control that actually prevents overspend. Commitment and actual cost flow from purchasing and time recording are covered. Progress measurement and period end processing including results analysis follow. Settlement to assets under construction and capitalisation are addressed, since this is where finance and engineering meet. The course closes on reporting and on closing a project properly.
