Project Management Professional Preparation

This course prepares practising and aspiring project managers for globally recognised professional certification by working systematically through the process groups and knowledge areas that anchor modern project practice. Participants apply the concepts to case studies drawn from infrastructure, telecoms and public-sector rollouts across Southern and East Africa, building the exam-ready vocabulary and the practical judgement to lead real projects. Daily practice questions and a mock assessment close the gap between theory and test-day performance.

Course objectives

  • Map the five process groups and ten knowledge areas to a working project of the participant's choice
  • Develop a project charter, scope statement and work breakdown structure that would satisfy an exam assessor
  • Apply earned value management to track cost and schedule performance and forecast at completion
  • Distinguish predictive, agile and hybrid life cycles and select the right approach for a given project context
  • Sit a full-length mock examination and review incorrect answers against the governing body's exam content outline
