Governance and ComplianceGovernance of Enterprise IT for Board and Executive Oversight
Boards are asked to approve technology investment and answer for cyber incidents without a vocabulary for either, so they either defer entirely to the technology function or challenge the wrong things. This course builds that vocabulary. Delegates work through what technology governance actually asks of a board, the difference between governing and managing technology, and the investment questions a board should press: what capability this buys, what it costs to run, and what happens if it fails. Portfolio oversight and the projects a board should see follow. Cyber and resilience oversight is covered at board level. Data governance, privacy obligations and the risks that attach to holding customer data are addressed. Technology debt and legacy systems are covered honestly. The course closes on assurance and on what a board should require before approving a major programme.
