Maintenance ManagementFacilities Management for Corporate and Industrial Sites
Facilities management is judged on things nobody notices until they fail, which makes it the function most often cut and the one whose deferred work reappears as an emergency. This course covers running it properly. Delegates work through the service catalogue and the standards each service is held to, planned maintenance across building fabric, mechanical and electrical systems, and the statutory compliance obligations that attach to a building, including fire, lifts, pressure vessels and water systems. Space planning and moves are covered. Soft services including cleaning, security and catering are addressed through the contracts that deliver them. Energy and utilities cost are covered as the largest controllable line. The course closes on budgeting, on the lifecycle plan for major replacements, and on measuring service without counting only complaints.
