Investors, lenders and regulators now ask for environmental, social and governance disclosure, and many organisations answer with a communications exercise that cannot survive the first question about how a number was produced. This course covers reporting that holds. Delegates work through the reporting standards and frameworks in use and which apply to a given organisation, materiality assessment and defending why a topic was included or left out, and the data behind each metric, its owner and its evidence. Environmental, social and governance metrics are worked through with their common pitfalls. Assurance readiness is covered, since disclosure is increasingly audited. Greenwashing risk is addressed directly, including the claims that attract regulatory attention. The course closes on the reporting cycle and on connecting disclosure to decisions actually taken.
