Employment Law and Workplace Dispute Management

Labour disputes are among the costliest and most reputationally sensitive risks an employer faces, and this course equips HR and legal professionals to manage the employment relationship lawfully from recruitment to exit. It covers contracts of employment, disciplinary and grievance procedure, retrenchment and the operation of labour courts and arbitration bodies. Case studies draw on unfair dismissal and discrimination claims to illustrate how procedural fairness is tested in practice.
