Capital projects in this region fail on funding continuity, land access and approvals far more often than on engineering, and the schedule that ignores those is a schedule that will be rewritten. This course plans for them. Delegates work through the project lifecycle from concept through feasibility to close out, and the decisions each stage is meant to settle before the next begins. Business case and options appraisal follow. Funding structures are covered, including phased release and what happens when a tranche is late. Procurement and contract strategy are addressed, including the risk each form transfers and at what price. Land, permits, environmental approval and community consent are covered as schedule items rather than formalities. Cost estimation, contingency and change control follow. Construction supervision and quality assurance are covered. The course closes on commissioning, handover and the operating readiness usually left too late.
